The Straight Top Mount is the most minimal sliding barn door hanger in the standard duty lineup. Like the J top mount, it attaches to the top edge of the door no straps visible on the front face, no hardware below the track. The difference from the J top mount is the profile: where the J top mount has a slight J-shaped curve, the straight top mount is flat, with a soft radius on its corners. From the front, the effect is nearly identical the door appears to float below the track with no visible attachment hardware.

The tradeoff for that level of minimalism is capacity: 75 lbs per door on the standard two-roller setup. That’s the lowest weight rating in the standard sliding collection, suited to lightweight interior doors hollow-core panels, lightweight MDF, and similarly light door materials. Capacity is additive per roller, so a third roller takes this kit to 112.5 lbs. Third rollers are ordered through our custom quote page rather than selected at checkout. If you prefer a stock two-roller kit in that weight range, the J top mount is rated to 100 lbs with a slightly curved hanger profile.
